Are you a data‑driven problem solver who thrives at the intersection of technology, operations, and continuous improvement? This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal role leading data management, analytics, and system optimisation across a large, complex service environment.

We are seeking a Data & Technology Lead to drive operational excellence, enhance reporting capability, and strengthen the integration of digital systems across a major national contract. This role suits someone who is both technically strong and highly collaborative — a natural bridge between operational teams, technical specialists, and senior stakeholders.

Why this role matters

You will play a key role in shaping how data is captured, governed, analysed, and used to drive decision‑making. Your work will directly influence operational performance, cost optimisation, and the digital maturity of the contract. You’ll also act as a subject matter expert for systems and data, supporting teams, resolving escalations, and championing best practice.

What you’ll do

Data, Systems & Analytics

  • Gather, analyse, and prioritise business requirements through workshops, interviews, and process mapping.
  • Translate operational needs into practical, scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead data governance, data cleaning, transformation, and reporting activities.
  • Enhance reporting frameworks, dashboards, and tools to support data‑driven decision‑making and trend analysis
  • Provide day‑to‑day system support and act as an escalation point for technical and operational issues.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Drive process optimisation, automation opportunities, and innovation initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent documentation, guidelines, and training materials are in place.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging technologies and improvement opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Build strong relationships across internal teams, client stakeholders, and global excellence functions.
  • Mentor team members and share best practice across the organisation.
  • Partner with technology teams to align systems, integrations, and future digital projects.

What you’ll bring

Technical Strength

  • Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to collate, assess, and present data.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, and data management platforms.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data transformation, and statistical concepts.
  • Knowledge of facility management systems or operational technology (advantageous).

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Confident communicator who can translate between technical and operational teams.
  • Skilled in leading workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
  • High initiative, strong time management, and the ability to manage ambiguity.

Ways of Working

  • Strategic thinker with a customer‑focused mindset.
  • Able to drive results, ensure accountability, and build effective cross‑functional relationships.
  • Comfortable influencing at all levels and navigating complex environments.

 Who this role suits

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex operational challenges through data, technology, and collaboration. If you’re passionate about improving systems, enabling smarter decision‑making, and driving digital uplift, you’ll thrive here.
