Are you passionate about developing innovative best practice Workers’ Compensation claims management strategies and improving return to work outcomes for a large workforce?
ISS is seeking a strategic and experienced Performance and Capability Lead to oversee workers’ compensation compliance and performance across NSW (self-insured) and ACT (underwritten). This pivotal role ensures alignment with SIRA standards, drives return-to-work outcomes, and supports injured employees through innovative claims management strategies.
This Full Time 12 month fixed term contract role is based in our Macquarie Park corporate office.
🔧 What You’ll Do
- Lead compliance for NSW self-insurance and ACT underwritten policies
- Develop KPIs and performance metrics aligned with regulatory and business goals
- Conduct audits and performance reviews to ensure strategic objectives are met
- Deliver training and mentorship to Injury Assist team (Case Managers overseeing end to end process from early intervention, IM, RTW planning and implementation).
- Collaborate with SIRA, ACT insurers, and internal stakeholders
- Promote early intervention and safety culture
- Manage provider relationships and ensure SLA adherence
- Drive consistency and continuous improvement across Pacific Injury Assist teams
- Work in partnership with the Regional Manager Injury Assist to ensure that workers compensation strategic objectives are being met.
- Actively participate in the NSW Self-Insurers Association
🎯 What We’re Looking For
- Deep knowledge of NSW & ACT workers’ compensation legislation
- 5+ years’ experience with early intervention, injury management and workers compensation processes.
- Proven leadership and coaching experience
- Allied health or workers’ compensation qualifications
- Strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills
- Understanding of medical terminology and claims databases
- Current driver’s license
- Experience working in a Workers’ Compensation self-insurance environment is strongly preferred.
