We have an exciting opportunity to join our biggest banking contract in the Pacific as a Facility Manager employed on a Full Time basis, working from our client’s Brisbane CBD office.

Ideally, you will have strong background in managing FM in a diverse property portfolio with a focus on workplace experience. This is an opportunity to join ISS where you leverage your skills and knowledge in Facility Management and take your career to the next level!

The Facility Manager role will primarily be focused on operational delivery across our client’s retail and commercial banking sites in QLD – ensuring reliable and consistent delivery to operational plans. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day operational facilities and management service for the client facilities you are nominated for and will include management of hard services, contract management, project management, environmental and health and safety management, as well as management of soft services. As such the role requires solid stakeholder management skills with several levels of interaction with the client to ensure we maintain a strong relationship. 

A snapshot of what you will do: 

  • Oversee maintenance services, including coordinating specialised trades
  • Manage and ensure tasks are completed within timeframes
  • Mitigate risk to buildings for users by ensuring facilities are fit-for-purpose
  • Manage safety, environmental and quality control of all hard FM activities
  • Manage the delivery of urgent / critical defect works, where required, to make safe, respond to an emergency, or breakdown fix during the defect period
  • Adherence to site budgets including materials, chemicals and consumables expenditure
  • Ensure regular quality audits/inspections are conducted and all hazards, incidents and accidents are reported and investigated
  • Respect property, privacy and confidentiality at all times, including employee information (in particular, timesheet and payroll information)

What will you possess to be successful   

  • At least 3 years' experience in stakeholder management / building and maintaining successful relationships 
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with clients, employees and stakeholders 
  • Awareness of workplace health & safety regulations 
  • Knowledge of OH&S Act 2000, ISO and EQUIP standards 
  • Police Criminal History check 
  • Proven experience managing diverse teams effectively and managing complex delivery models 
  • Demonstrated ability managing stakeholder relationships
  • Willing to complete background/probity check (National Police Check, ASIC – financial services)
  • Defense experience ideal
