Our team is growing and we currently have a role on offer for a Category Manager Food & Beverage, employed on a Full Time basis in either Perth, Sydney or Melbourne.
The Category Manager Food & Beverage is part of a dynamic team that works seamlessly with all parts of the business and is willing to challenge the status quo, offer solutions and build better foundations for business growth.
The role is responsible for managing procurement activities for Food & Beverage category, support delivery of Category Plan, engaging with suppliers regularly, operational engagement and commercial tender support.
The Position:
- Managed procurement activities ‘end to end’ with key stakeholder management to ensure successful implementation of a projects
- Compile analytical data and solutions to inform potential project saving strategies
- Execute the tendering and negotiation of designated products & services in a timely manner to deliver savings
- Overall ownership for the development and delivery of the Subco Category Plan – including targets for savings targets, supplier consolidation, decarbonisation, payment term improvement
- Work with Procurement Manager First Nations to support growing our supplier base and spend with First Nations companies
- For a large, sophisticated client, help develop and drive completion of their Procurement Strategy
- Foster good relationships with operational representatives and support operational requirements
- Meet with supplier to discuss performance to ISS’s criteria to drive service excellence and continuous improvement across the portfolio
- Support commercial tenders and transitions as required

Minimum Criteria:
- Commercial procurement experience working in a matrix organisation
- Leading projects or transitions with large matrix cross functional teams
- Implemented an end-to-end Food & Beverage category from idea inception to award and supplier transition
- 3 to 5 years’ experience using procurement methodologies to drive cost savings
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Advanced analytical skills, strong verbal and numeric reasoning
- Ability to effectively dissect information and identify key issues and opportunities
- Effectively prioritises and meets deadlines
- Able to deal with multiple issues, pressures and deadlines concurrently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high level of customer service skills
- A positive “can-do” attitude, continuously ambitious; creates, develops and takes ownership of the tasks set out
Desirable Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in a business related discipline.
- CIPS qualified or working towards completion.
- Procurement experience in the Facilities Management or Building Construction industry
- Digital procurement experience with a leading P2P platform
