The Role

This exciting opportunity is ideal for a proactive and solutions-focused Stakeholder Engagement Manager to play a pivotal role in driving high standards of stakeholder engagement and "customer service" within our largest government education cleaning contract in the Pacific. The role plays a crucial role in fostering relationships between ISS and each education site leader, business managers, the government asset management and infrastructure teams and Indigenous organisations.  This role will be based from our Milperra (Sydney office), with travel required across the greater Sydney area (south of Sydney Harbour) and up the North Coast (Tea Gardens to the QLD border).

 

In this newly developed role, you will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, leading the organisations' approach to driving improved customer satisfaction by positively impacting feedback from the sites on which we provide services. This may involve events management and planning, consultation, and sponsorships. As the day-to-day lead, you will oversee processes and deliver strategic initiatives to build stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities that reflect the organisations' goals. and the Government objectives.

 

Your ability to collaborate, influence, and problem-solve will be essential to success in this role.

 

Position Overview

This position requires a high level of cultural competency and experience working with key stake holders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with Indigenous businesses and organisations, leading stakeholder engagement, consultation, and sponsorship strategies. Providing expert advice and guidance on engagement and consultation strategies across the Government Agency (internal and external stakeholders and members of the public: including NSW Government, Teachers, Principals, Business Managers, P&C Federation).
  • Feedback Management: Overseeing the implementation of processes for contact and complaints management, ensuring high-quality responses and customer service, and managing a significant improvement in positive feedback.  
  • Community Capacity Building: Developing and implementing strategies to enhance Indigenous employment and retention.
  • Employment Strategies: Creating and executing plans to increase Indigenous participation in the workforce, including pre-employment training and recruitment.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously tracking progress against Feedback, Resolution, Employment targets
  • Events: Managing the delivery of high-standard events and sponsorships aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Marketing: Collaborating with Corporate Affairs and Communications teams to deliver integrated plans and strategies.
  • Site by Site Strategic planning: Establish individual plans that suit a positive change to the outcomes for the key stakeholders, through implementation of changes to programs run on site and / or by region, employment changes, shift time amendments, training/apprenticeships, amendments to pay for specific sites, funding, and or events etc

  • Responsive and attentive to prompt resolution of stakeholder issues, with the ability to secure the right resources within the broader ISS Contract team to address these issues and close them out effectively
  • High level of cultural competency (including knowledge of Indigenous Communities and organisations in NSW)
  • Ability to deal with key stakeholders with empathy and humility
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making skills
  • Using negotiation and conflict resolution skills to resolve issues quickly
  • Experienced in working within tight deadlines and a fast paced, quickly changing environment
  • Computer literacy, strong administration, organisational and data management skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
