We’re on the lookout for expressions of interest from self-motivated, detail-oriented, and resourceful People & Training Coordinators to join People and Culture team supporting the Operations Manager of our Aviation segment.

This role is a dynamic blend of HR operations, employee relations, performance management, and learning & development, tailored to support a high-volume, fast-paced aviation environment. It requires a proactive, people-focused professional who thrives on collaboration, compliance, and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for someone with prior generalist P&C experience or a recent HR graduate ready to launch their career.

 

This role is broadly a People and Culture generalist role, with the exception of the Recruitment/Talent function being coordinated by our Centralised Talent team.

 

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Onboarding

  • Lead seamless onboarding and induction processes aligned with ISS standards.
  • Coordinate with recruitment and RTOs to transition new hires from training to operations.
  • Maintain optimal staffing levels through close collaboration with rostering teams.

Performance & Employee Relations

  • Coach leaders on ISS performance frameworks and manage appraisal cycles.
  • Conduct investigations, performance counselling, and disciplinary actions in line with IR legislation.
  • Act as first point of contact for IR/ER matters during manager absences.
  • Maintain strong union relationships and ensure compliance with EBAs and Awards.

Learning & Development

  • Promote ISS Learning & Development programs and MyLearning platform.
  • Administer the LMS, track compliance training, and deliver Toolbox Talks.
  • Monitor training records and support ongoing development initiatives.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure OH&S strategies and HSE training are implemented and monitored.
  • Support return-to-work programs and fitness-for-duty compliance.
  • Attend HSE meetings and manage people-related risk across the function.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven HR experience in large, complex environments
  • High-level communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office and HRIS
  • Exceptional organisation, discretion, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Collaborative, empathetic, and adaptable team player

 

Desirable criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Training and Assessment/HR
  • Experience in Aviation security - passenger screening and/or freight
