The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Aerodrome Reporting Officer / Works Safety Officer (ARO/WSO) to join our Aerodrome Operations Team. This hands-on, fast-paced FIFO role is critical to ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of Ginbata Airport while supporting daily flight line and terminal activities.
Fly-In-Fly-Out from Perth on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
Role Details:
You will be responsible for:
- Daily and non-routine aerodrome inspections (CASA compliant)
- All ARO duties plus oversight of aerodrome remedial works (WSO)
- Issuing NOTAMs
- Managing flight line activities: marshalling, refuelling, fuel QC, baggage, pax control, traffic scheduling
- Terminal operations: check-in (Amadeus/IFIDS/AVSYS/iCargo), radio calls, manifests, load sheets, crew liaison
- Aircraft refuelling (Air BP)
- Coordinating with airlines (Qantas, QantasLink, Skippers, Alliance, RFDS)
- Ensuring compliance with ISS/HIO Aviation Material Risk controls
- Line marking, mowing, slashing, pruning, minor fence repairs
- Completing GSE checks and reporting maintenance needs
- Housekeeping across terminal and support areas
- Preparing weekly/monthly airline and fuel reports
- Delivering inductions for staff, contractors, visitors
- Aviation emergency response participation
- Dangerous goods and aviation security awareness
- Planning daily ops, coordinating staff, preparing rosters
- Supporting the Airport Manager and engaging with client reps
About You
Required:
- 3+ years ARO/WSO experience
- Airline ground handling (Qantas, QantasLink, Skippers, Alliance) including 737, A320 & F100 operations
- Passenger processing knowledge (Amadeus, IFIDS, AVSYS, iCargo)
- Aerodrome DG Awareness & AROC
- WA C-Class licence
- Ability to work FIFO on an 8&6 Roster
- Full Working rights in Australia
- Police Clearance (not older than 12 Months)
- Ability to undergo pre-employment medical clearance drug and alcohol screen

- Air BP refuelling training
- Skid Steer/Bobcat experience
