Our team is growing and we currently seeking people to join us in the position of Work Safety Officer (Escort Driver) at Melbourne Airport, employed on a casual basis.

Responsible for ensuring safe and compliant airside operations in line with ISS, APAM, and CASA standards. The role includes managing escorts, reporting faults and incidents, maintaining vehicles, and following all procedures. It also requires strong communication, adherence to safety and training requirements, and delivering consistent customer service while meeting operational targets.

The Position:

Operations and Compliance – Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-of-operation activities across the airport precinct under Team Leader direction, ensuring smooth, efficient operations
  • Maintain full compliance with ISS, APAM, and CASA policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Conduct airside duties and escorts safely while protecting the airfield and meeting operational targets
  • Report faults, hazards, and incidents promptly and follow all escalation processes
  • Operate and maintain vehicles in line with safety, airside rules, and standards
  • Provide clear communication with Team Leaders and stakeholders to resolve customer issues in real time
  • Deliver exceptional customer service aligned to ISS standards and client expectations
  • Participate in training, briefings, and safety initiatives while maintaining required accreditations
  • Uphold ISS values (Honesty, Responsibility, Entrepreneurship, Quality) and contribute to continuous improvement

Minimum Criteria:

  • Hold an unrestricted Australian Driver’s license (probationary license acceptable)
  • Ability to successfully pass drug & alcohol, audio and colour hearing tests
  • Full working rights in Australia without restrictions
  • Ability to obtain an ASIC (Criminal history clearance)
  • Flexible availability across a 24x7 operation
