Our team is growing and we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to join us working from our Melbourne CBD office and our finance and banking client’s office also in the CBD.  This is a permanent Full Time opportunity.

Reporting to the Category Manager – Subcontractors within the Supply Chain and Procurement team, the role will also have an indirect reporting line into the Operations team on the large Key Account, with a key focus on proactively managing the contract glide path savings, ensuring accurate updates are given to the client that achieve business and client goals. You will also identify and lead project initiatives within the account delivering savings, operational efficiencies and risk mitigation to the operation. 

This is a key ‘hands on’ role in the Supply Chain and Procurement team, which will shape business improvement through detailed analysis that challenges the status quo to deliver true impact with involvement in procurement process review and presentation of analytical data and solutions to inform the Category Manager and National GM Business Performance of potential project saving strategies.

The role will have two direct reports (Senior Procurement Officers). 

The Position:

General Duties:

  • Support the overall contract glide path savings for the account through procurement initiatives and lead monthly client meeting
  • Support indigenous spend targets through the supply chain
  • Lead savings projects ‘end to end’ with key stakeholder management to ensure successful implementation of each project
  • Execute the tendering and negotiation of designated services in a cost effective and timely manner
  • Lead contract negotiations with vendors to secure favourable terms

Vendor Management:

  • Liaise with Vendor Performance Manager to provide feedback on vendor partner performance to ISS’s criteria to drive service excellence and continuous improvement across the portfolio
  • Manage and coordinate the administration of regular contractual change notices due to the changing client portfolio
  • Manage and measure the service and safety performance of vendor partners to ISS’s criteria to drive service excellence and continuous improvement across the portfolio
  • Foster long term relationships with third party vendors to drive positive operational delivery including resolving disputes and any vendor related issues that may need attention

Client Engagement:

  • Foster good relationships with client representatives to support project delivery as required
  • Present key finding to clients and seek approval for project implementation

Our ideal Candidate:

  • Experience leading projects or transitions with large matrix cross functional teams.
  • Min 5 years’ experience using procurement methodologies to drive cost savings.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time along the Eastern Seaboard.
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – preferably IBM Trirega.
  • Experience implementing an end-to-end category project from idea inception to business implementation.
  • In depth analysis experience using multiple data sources to explore and agree a baseline and promote procurement savings.
  • Evidence using influencing and negotiation skills to gain stakeholder approval in project execution.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with difficult stakeholders and conflict management.
  • Well-developed time management and organisation skills with the ability to deal with multiple issues, pressures and deadlines concurrently.
  • Flexibility for the completion of urgent projects beyond agreed working hours.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Confidentiality at all times.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in a business related discipline.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • CIPS qualified or working towards completion.
  • Subcontractor Category Management experience in Facilities Management and/or Financial Services Sector.
  • Digital procurement experience with a leading P2P platform.
