We are currently seeking an exceptional and driven financial professional looking to expand their knowledge and experience to join our team as an Accountant in a Full Time permanent capacity to be based at our Macquarie Park Office in Sydney.

The Accountant will report to the Record to Report Shared Services Manager.  They will provide close support to the finance teams to ensure all deliverables are met in accordance with deadlines.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of month end close, general ledger reconciliations and reporting
  • Prepare and post month-end journals eg. prepayments, accruals, provisions, local and global intercompany recharges
  • Maintain fixed assets register
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations and provide variance analysis
  • Prepare Corporate overhead cost allocation and post journals
  • Assist with the month-end preparation and finalisation of OneStream 
  • Back up and support Financial Shared Services Team

 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
  • 2 to 3 years experience in similar mid-tier or upper tier company
  • Through understanding of accounting principles
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Self-motivated
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Pivot tables, Vlookups, SumIfs)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Desirable criteria:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Previous exposure to Navision and OneStream
