About the Role
We are seeking Casual Food Service Assistants to join our team at Box Hill Hospital, part of the Eastern Health Network in Melbourne.
In this rewarding role, you will help deliver high-quality food services that contribute to positive patient experiences and support exceptional healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Food Service Assistant Duties
- Deliver food services in accordance with Food Safety legislation, hospital standards, and operational procedures.
- Prepare and present patient meals, including sandwiches, salads, beverages, and snacks.
- Clean and sanitise meal trays, crockery, cutlery, trolleys, and kitchen equipment.
- Set up workstations and ensure adequate stock levels of food service supplies and consumables.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment at all times.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A positive attitude and a strong commitment to customer service.
- Previous experience in a hospital, healthcare, or aged care environment (highly regarded).
- A current Food Safety Certificate.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or the ability to obtain one.
- Current influenza vaccination evidence.
