About the Role

As the FIFO Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring all workforce and site compliance requirements are consistently met, accurately maintained, and continuously improved across Central Queensland village operations. This role is critical in supporting safe, compliant, and efficient FIFO operations.

Working closely with Key Account Manager, and leadership teams, you will act as a central point of coordination for compliance-related activities. You will ensure that all employees meet and sustain site access and ongoing compliance requirements in line with ISS standards, client expectations, and legislative obligations.

This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic FIFO environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, verify, and maintain employee compliance documentation, including medical clearances, inductions, competencies, tickets, licences, and role-specific certifications

  • Ensure ongoing adherence to site, client, contractual, and legislative compliance requirements

  • Conduct regular compliance audits and gap analyses across village operations, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions

  • Proactively liaise with operations, HR, recruitment, payroll, and site leadership to resolve compliance issues in a timely and efficient manner

  • Support onboarding and mobilisation processes by ensuring all compliance requirements are completed prior to site access

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across compliance systems, trackers, and reporting platforms

  • Prepare and provide compliance reports, metrics, and insights to internal stakeholders as required

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance processes and controls

To be considered: 

  • Demonstrated experience in compliance, workforce coordination, mobilisation, HR administration, or FIFO operations

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Confident and professional communicator, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels

  • Ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, remote FIFO environment

  • Proficiency in compliance systems, databases, and reporting tools, with strong Microsoft Office skills

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify risks, problem-solve, and drive outcomes

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Able to pass Full Pre-employment Medical and DAS
  • Open Manual Driver's License
  • Able to provide a Police Check not older than 12 months
