Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about financial accuracy? We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to provide financial, administrative, and clerical support across our contract with Defence. 🔧 What You’ll Do

As our Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll be responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Your key duties will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with Client and ISS financial guidelines
  • Efficiently processing creditor invoices and matching them with purchase orders
  • Coding and authorising invoices in line with internal procedures
  • Identifying and resolving duplicate payments, refunds, and cheque cancellations
  • Setting up and maintaining accurate creditor records
  • Upholding internal controls and ensuring data integrity
  • Filing and archiving financial records according to company policy
  • Reconciling creditor accounts and statements
  • Reporting non-compliance issues to management

🎯 What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounts payable role
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accurate data entry
  • Ability to work respectfully with people from diverse cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds
  • Results-focused mindset with strong prioritisation and multitasking abilities
  • Willingness to seek guidance and collaborate when needed
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Initiative and autonomy in managing tasks

Mandatory requirement - Australian Citizen & ability to gain a Defence Baseline Clearance
