We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Rostering Coordinator to join our Operations team based at Brisbane Airport on a Permanent Full Time basis.

The Position

Reporting into the General Manager – Aviation Security at Brisbane Airport, the Senior Rostering Coordinator will work in a site based role and will be responsible for a range of workforce planning and rostering activities including:

  • Rostering security operations within a dynamic and busy 24/7 operation
  • Ensuring effective and efficient resourcing models and shift coverage utilizing Kronos (UKG) and Microsoft Office.
  • Roster employees in accordance with the enterprise agreement, contractual requirements, service levels and KPI’s (approx. 500 staff)
  • Manage sick leave calls and annual leave requests to ensure shift coverage
  • Assist with Pay Period close each fortnight
  • Assist with and respond to pay, leave and rostering related enquiries
  • Compile required reports and data including end of month information
  • Prepare and monitor any accounts that may be required for any adhoc services and reconcile accordingly
  • Delivering excellent customer service and ensure accurate record keeping

Essential Criteria: Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience with multi-site and/or large operation with 24/7 shift rostering
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Kronos (UKG) and Microsoft Office programs
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions within a regulated environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a member of the site leadership team and maintain confidentiality around commercially sensitive and personal information
  • Ability to coach and mentor other Rostering Coordinators
  • Be able to work from site 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
  • Ability to obtain an ASIC (criminal history clearance in the past 10 years)

Desirable Criteria: Successful candidates will ideally meet the following:

  • Strong understanding of rostering and workforce planning in a dynamic environment
  • Hands on experience with Kronos (UKG), or similar system
  • Sound understanding of basic maths, bookkeeping and accounting skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
