Our team is growing and we are currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals for a Business Optimisation Analyst role at our key banking client’s office in the Melbourne CBD, on a Full Time permanent basis.

 

Reporting to the Business Analytics and Performance Manager, the Optimisation Analyst’s main role is the elicitation or discovery of underlying business needs to be addressed and information related to the service and project requirements, often through conversations with stakeholders by organising, specifying and modelling the requirements to ensure they are complete and unambiguous and documenting the requirements in a format that can be shared with stakeholders, ensuring the requirements map to the real business need, are approved by all relevant stakeholders, and meet essential quality standards.

 

The Position:

At high level the purpose of the role is to apply change management, process improvement and analytical skills to each implementation of process discovery and optimisation implementation.

 

Duties will include:

  • Working closely with the ISS technical team and account operators within the network to document or update existing business processes, ensuring consistency wherever possible.
  • Review existing processes, analyse data and engage with the network to identify optimisation opportunities. 
  • Identification of efficiency gains or savings that can be achieved through any optimisation opportunities.
  • Track and report actual savings realised compared with actual baseline costs
  • Provide the technical and account operators  with user experience feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement
  • Support to Account Directors, GM’s and EGM as required.
  • Support ISS Global and Country strategies and business decisions within the Corporate Governance guidelines.

Minimum Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Finance, Accounting or Commerce) or other relevant field or equivalent experience
  • At least five years business analysis work experience.
  • Advanced software skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI or Tableau
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Advanced commercial and numerical analytical ability, with capability to develop and interpret full financial statements.
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Sound interpretative, analytical and problem solving skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Training and facilitation skills, ability to lead workshops
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of process mapping
  • Ability to interpret and understand legislative requirements.
  • Team player with high level of initiative.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Good negotiator
  • Willing to complete background/probity check (National Police Check, ASIC – financial services)

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Work experience as a Business Analyst in an industry similar environment
  • A good understanding of a wide variety of technology systems
  • Advanced research and analysis skills
  • Advanced software, research and analysis skills
  • Interest in developing Project Management skills
  • Understanding of a range of local government operations and legislation
  • Understanding of financial processes and systems
  • Knowledge of current technologies, trends and practices in the property technology sector
  • Large project experience
