Our team is growing and we are currently seeking experienced an Health and Safety Advisor to join our Resources Operations team on a family friendly 4 days on, 3 days off Fly-In-Fly-Out roster from Adelaide Airport to our sites throughout regional South Australia.

  • Family friendly four (4) days on, three (3) days off FIFO roster.
  • $120,000 + superannuation.

The Position:

Reporting to the Site Village Manager, you will be responsible for driving the ISS safety culture and assisting with the development and rollout of safety initiatives and training across your assigned village location. Safety should be your passion and priority.

The scope of this role is to:

  • Key driver of implementation and auditing of the HSE Management System and maintaining site specific HSE Plan.
  • Undertaking and Assisting with Incident investigations and preparation of safety reports.
  • Manage and maintain HSE registers and compiling weekly/monthly HSE reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with both clients and ISS HSE policies and procedures.
  • Discussing, monitoring and assisting the staff in the safe delivery of on-site activities.
  • Provision of sound technical HSEQ advice to site teams.
  • Development and delivery of Safety and Toolbox Meetings.
  • Assisting, implementing and monitoring return to work programs.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and the implementation of initiatives to effectively manage HSE risk.

To be successful for this role, you will be a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills. You will possess strong data analysis acumen and report writing skills with excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to adapt to a changing environment.

Minimum Criteria:

  • Relevant WHS qualifications (Certificate IV or higher).
  • Knowledge of relevant State WHS and environment law and ISO 9001, 45001 & 14001 Standards.
  • Strong ability to lead and manage change and ability to influence managers and other stakeholders.
  • Lead by example and model behaviours that underpin a constructive safety culture.
  • Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Effective collaborator with excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in a WHS role in the resources, construction, facilities management or manufacturing sectors.
  • Lead I-CAM Investigator Certificate and experience in High-Potential/Serious Incident investigations.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills (coaching and mentoring).
  • Unrestricted C Class Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work a Fly-In-Fly-Out roster from Adelaide Airport.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and background checks.
