ISS World Security Surveillance team is an integral part of our operations at Melbourne Airport. We now have new opportunities in this space, and candidates are invited to apply for the positions of Security Surveillance Officer. There are currently two positions available.

 

The position is responsible for, including but not limited to:

  • Capturing & delivering a detailed record/duty logging of all audits, measurements & Incidents each shift
  • Support and provide subject matter in the response to emergency critical incidents
  • Provide acknowledgement of communication as per relevant policy and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Providing a detailed shift report to the Surveillance & Investigations Manager
  • Utilizing a CCTV system to identify adverse activities at the Airport
  • Immediate response to emergencies and incidents is in accordance with assignment instructions and policy
  • Conduct investigations in a timely manner

 

Classification: Full Time role, across both AM and PM shift, with a 24/7 availability requirement.

 

Essential Criteria: Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience as a Surveillance Officer or operations experience in a control room environment.
  • Security license (VIC)
  • Strong leadership skills - proven ability to influence others to a considered course of action – effective communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A good attendance record and available to work a 24/7 roster
  • Computer Literacy – CCTV software, access control software & Microsoft Office suite
  • Policing, military or security experience, preferably in a communications role
  • Clean attendance record
  • Ability to work 24/7
  • Attention to detail and proactive, team-focussed attitude
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  •
