Are you passionate about creating a thriving workplace culture? ISS is seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join our team in a dynamic generalist HR role. You’ll partner closely with site leaders to drive engagement, enhance retention, and deliver impactful people initiatives across our ISS Defence contracts.
About the Role
As a trusted P&C advisor across ISS Defence contracts, you’ll align people & culture strategies with business objectives, driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, build capability, and foster a high-performance culture. This role provides expert guidance on all HR matters to support organisational growth and contract success.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary P&C partner for ISS Defence contracts, delivering end-to-end HR support.
- Manage security clearances and DISP reporting in compliance with AGSVA protocols.
- Partner with leaders to embed HR strategies into operational plans.
- Support recruitment and workforce planning to meet contractual requirements.
- Lead culture improvement initiatives and team development programs.
- Drive change management and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, legislation, and Defence standards.
- Coach managers through performance reviews and employee relations issues.
- Maintain accurate role profiles and support training programs.
- Respond promptly to operational challenges and urgent staffing needs.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful workplace culture across all sites.

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role.
- Strong background in strategic HR initiatives, organisational change, and cultural transformation.
- Ability to deliver executive-level reporting and workforce analytics.
- Collaborative team player with coaching and mentoring skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and cultural competence.
- Experience in multi-site operations and leadership development initiatives
- Experience with DISP reporting and Defence compliance (desirable).
