We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Grounds Person at our Rolleston location, on a permanent full-time basis. This role operates on a Drive-In-Drive-Out (DIDO) roster of 2 weeks on, 1 week off. Embrace the opportunity to work in the beautiful outdoors of Central Queensland and make a lasting impact on our Mining Village!

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the grounds of the Mining Village, including gardens, paths, and buildings.
  • Perform general works and maintenance programs such as mowing, general grounds works, grounds cleaning, and landfill activities.
  • Carry out waste and landfill duties as required and directed by management.
  • Ensure that works programs are maintained to the level set per contract specifications.
  • Maintain the safety of personnel and the public.
  • Undertake General Hand duties and Utility duties as required, including kitchen duties.

Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Safe Work Practices.
  • Experience in grounds work (mowing, weed spraying, etc.).
  • Ability to obtain a police check.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Queensland Coal Board Medical and functional assessment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and in a fast-paced, time-managed environment.
  • Be conditioned to the extreme weather in Central QLD.
  • Australian driver’s license and reliable transport to get to the site.
  • Forklift license is desirable.
