We have an opportunity for a Facility Manager to join our team in Adelaide on a Full-Time basis. This role will see you support a national telecommunications client with multisite operations across SA. Reporting to the Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of FM services to the client.

 

This role will require travel and would ideally suit a candidate based in Adelaide Metro area. Travel across SA to visit client sites is required.

 

This Facilities Management role will primarily be focused on operational delivery – ensuring reliable and consistent delivery to plans. The role is responsible to ensure risk identification/controls, incidents and tenant/client/customer issues are managed as per the agreed processes.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain strong relationships with client representatives.

 

ISS is providing facilities management services to this client on a 24 hour per day, 7 days per week basis and we will perform services to ensure zero network outages and operational continuity of the facilities assets, as all times for all sites.

 

A snapshot of what you will do:

  • Undertake regular audits of the field workforce, including contractors against client and ISS HSEQ policies and standards.
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the designated client representatives via regular formal meetings.
  • Act as the building owner’s representative for all facilities within the designated area.
  • Act as the contact/client representative for all site related issues.
  • Provide technical expertise, knowledge, and site information as required.
  • Attend meetings with client to co-ordinate activities, strategies, planning to meet business needs.
  • Conduct regular tenant meetings in occupied client facilities.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with Tenants re maintenance, capital works and associated outages.
  • Review the application of service delivery methods and practices within the designated area on an ongoing basis both with employees and contractors.
  • In co-operation with the Asset Management team and National Call Centre, manage and co-ordinate all subcontractor activities.
  • Perform regular site inspections in accordance with the agreed standards and document.
  • Manage incidents and the restoration to normal site conditions.
  • Ensure allocated budgets are adhered to.
  • Ensure Variation management processes are complied with.
  • Liaise with Asset Management regarding the development and application of the asset management plan for the designated area.
  • Ensure your activities meet ISS’s and Clients Quality standards.

What will you possess to be successful:

  • Preferably a tertiary education in facility management, business administration or project management or similar operational qualifications.
  • Have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Managed a multi-disciplinary work force.
  • A sound understanding of the operations and maintenance environment in telecommunications or a technical service industry.
  • Risk Management approach to building management.
  • Ability to self-manage, work cooperatively and collaboratively with others, and have a flexible approach to function effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate with confidence and respect for others.
  • Proven ability to use own judgement to effectively manage workloads, take responsibility for and prioritise tasks and clearly communicate when undertaking and delivering outcomes and services.
  • Interstate travel required from time to time.

 

The successful candidate will need to pass a National Police Check and Anti-money Laundering check prior to start date.

 

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Report writing and auditing experience.
