Our team is growing and we currently have a role on offer for an Estimator – Soft Services/IFS, employed on a Full Time basis, working from one of our offices on the East Coast (Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne).

 

The role is responsible for providing consistent, effective and innovative costing solutions across our IFS (Integrated Facility Services) contracts (single and multi-service) and the ongoing improvement between bid and operational delivery by proactively implementing the Global Blueprint standardisation into one format for final solution dialogue with commercial and business teams, as well as owning the estimating model and its linkage with ISS Global Taxonomy, creating a data led decision-making eco-system and culture.

 

The role will work closely with the Heads of each of our main IFS service lines (Cleaning, Food (Catering) and Technical), Segment Directors and Key Account Managers and the Business Performance team to achieve the above.

 

A snapshot of what you will do:

  • Costing & Solutions: Create single & multi-service line costing and solutions documents with input from single service costing SMEs.
  • Benchmarking Tools: Assist in developing benchmarking and contract performance reporting tools.
  • Benchmark Review: Evaluate benchmarks for tenders to drive growth.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously follow up to ensure proposed actions are implemented and effective, suggesting alternatives if necessary.
  • Contract Optimisation: Drive contract optimisation through tools, processes, and procedures, and continuously monitor and improve practices.
  • Improvement Recommendations: Suggest improvements to the relevant SMEs and business leaders for further review and action.
  • Market Analysis: Support the Commercial team in understanding local markets and competition, assist in bids, and conduct site inspections.
  • Data Evaluation: Analyse multiple data streams on existing operations using tools like XLS, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Leadership: Lead by example in promoting a safety-first, inclusive, and diverse culture.
  • Cost Drivers: Visit contract locations to understand and develop key cost drivers that support profitable service delivery.

  • Advanced Commercial & Numerical ability: Proficient in analysing multiple data sources and turning data into actionable solutions and stories.
  • Project & Change Management: Experienced in managing projects and implementing change.
  • XLS Proficiency: Extensive experience in using XLS for data analysis and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills, essential for working with diverse stakeholders and clients.
  • Self-Motivated: Structured, systematic, and collaborative in approach.
  • Global Experience: Skilled in working within global matrix organisations.
