We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the position of full-time Business Manager to join our team at Perth Airport. This role will be responsible for building and fostering a strong strategic business relationship with our client at Perth Airport and support the General Manager in the achievement around the contractual management in financial and business growth. A clear understanding of operational performance in terms of service delivery, with a strong focus on exceeding KPI target in the business development and services to the client. As such the role will assist in performance in rostering and financial auditing against the contractual arrangements between ISS and PAPL. The role is focused on ensuring ISS provide an exceptional service experience at Perth Airport and will drive positive improvements in our business demands & operations while ensuring the Company complies with the contractual and legal obligations under the terms and conditions of the contract/s.

The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of workforce planning, business and financial management activities including:

  • Be seen as a leader within the business and be an advocate for the ISS Leadership Principles & the ISS Leadership Competency Framework
  • Ensuring the (700+ staff) staffing level as per the flight schedules and finalised during OR.
  • Use of Kronos, generating the report, optimising the rosters as per the demand.
  • Develop and motivate a high performing team performance of service(s) within scope of responsibility to supporting operations.
  • Procure orders, performance invoicing and billing to its KPI requirements, manage, develop and retain the capabilities required to deliver world class aviation security services.
  • Ensure accountability of business areas of responsibility and ensure they are managing and audited according to ISS standards.
  • The Business Manager in line with the Rostering Business Coordinator will ensure all personnel have been assigned and allocated.
  • The Business Manager will also be the main contact for PAPLs Security Team.
  • Business Manager in all events with costing, billing, ADHOC & training events (roster control) rostering reviews and analysing how we improve our manning levels.
  • Business Manager will work towards improving and gathering the data with his line and making sure improvements can be adjusted with National help if needed. All requirements will go through the BM to release the coordinator to maintain manning levels and staffing interaction.
  • Complete research and analysis of potential prospects and new business opportunities & cost saving to the client within the contract.
  • Preparing end of month billings and costings whilst monitoring Perth Airport budget.
  • Complete and submit monthly and annual reports to the client with support from key stakeholders within the ISS business at Perth Airport.
  • Review business and financial reports and assist the National Commercial Director / Manager to identify optimisation opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Communicate key messages to other operational managers/supervisors at site and monitor follow-up actions as required.
  • Responsible for all airside vehicles and maintain the contract, policies and renewals.
  • Maintain the leasing property and delivery to the client.
  • Maintain all key personnel changes ORG structure and report back to the client.
  • Maintain all insurance reviews, changes, and report back to the client.
  • Ensuring all the vehicles are compliant as per the roadside and Airside regulations.
  • Ensuring all the stocks are in place as per required.
  • Generating the PO’s and setting up the clients in the system.

Minimum Criteria

  • 3 years broad based general management experience - preferably in a security or aviation environment.
  • Diploma or Degree in Financial Business studies, or other relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Strong leadership, commercial and organisational experience.
  • Demonstrated high level communication, organizational, and relationship skills.
  • Experience in profit and loss management.
  • Previous experience using Kronos electronic time keeping system highly desired.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions within a regulated environment.
