Position Highlights:

As a Payroll Officer with us, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our team. You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a specific portfolio, ensuring seamless end-to-end payroll processing across a dynamic division.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Accurately process end-to-end payrun for all employees on a fortnightly basis
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations and adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, Australian payroll legislation and internal policies.
  • Process employee leave entitlements, overtime, bonuses, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Respond to employee queries related to payslips, tax, leave balances, and other payroll-related concerns.
  • Apply knowledge of Long Service Leave regulations, considering the specific rules for each State and Territory
  • Managing Centrelink Paid Parental Leave payments and Workers Compensation payments
  • Keep things running smoothly by staying on top of the payroll inbox and workflow, using tools like Service Now.

What You'll Bring:

  • A knack for tackling tasks and seeing them through to completion.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven time management abilities to keep multiple tasks in check.
  • A talent for solving problems and analyzing situations effectively.
  • The confidence to make decisions that matter.
  • A background in managing payroll for both blue and white-collar employees with diverse awards and agreements.
  • Familiarity with comprehensive payroll processing systems, such as CHRIS21/iCHRIS, SAP ECP, Preceda, ADP, or similar. Don't worry if you haven't used CHRIS21 before – we're happy to provide training.
