An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Catering Manager to join our resources operations team on a fly-in-fly-out basis from Perth to the Pilbara.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the entire Catering function across the Village, both back of house and front of house. You will oversee all outlets, balancing guest expectations, employee needs and profitability. You will be responsible for leading the onsite Catering team through onsite training & coaching our staff to success.

What we are looking for?

  • Australian Trade Certification or Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
  • High volume catering, including bulk catering and function/banquet experience
  • Experience in a mining village operation preferred but all professional kitchen experience considered
  • Ability to work to client expectations
  • Demonstrated previous Catering Experience not less than 3 years

  • Exceptional Customer Service and Leadership skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel

  • C Class Driver’s License

  • Demonstrated ability to control the department budget

  • Police Clearance or willing to obtain

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the food costs and expenses as per the onsite contract scope under the executive chefs guidance

  • Maintain food costs at budgeted levels by careful ordering, preparation, service and storage of food product utilising ISS supply and ordering programs

  • Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all clients and guests

  • Assist the Executive Chef with rostering in line with scope manning guide

  • Assist in the observation of and implementation of allergy awareness systems

  • Follow company health & safety procedures and policies
