Our team is growing and we are currently seeking people to join us in the position of Boiler Maker to join our Bowen Basin (Moranbah, Dysart & Blackwater) Teams working a 5 days on and 2 day off Roster

FIFO from Brisbane is possible for the right candidate. 

Maintenance activities including breakdown works will be scheduled across the Bowen Basin with regular travel week to week to areas such as Moranbah, Dysart and Blackwater. Camp accommodation, company vehicle and mobile phone will be provided with the role while on roster.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Boilermaker / welder with previous work experience in similar roles. 

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Water Utilities you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring a total commitment to both Workplace Health & Safety and BMA Mine site SHMS requirements as well as all environmental protocols.
  • Adherence to Zero Harm principles
  • Hazard identification and rectification
  • Maintain and operate pipeline Infrastructure in line with the work plan.

 

Role Specific Duties include

The successful candidate will need to possess the following and will need to have previously completed or have the knowledge of;

  • Trade qualified boilermaker or welder
  • Carry out pipe welding and steel fabrication works
  • PMBWELD301 - Poly Butt Welding SOA and experience
  • PMBWELD302 – Poly Electrofusion Welding SOA and experience
  • Operate and Maintain Chainsaws
  • Remove non-friable asbestos
  • Pipeline and associated equipment operation, service and maintenance
  • Understanding of 1SAP maintenance system highly desirable
  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance work
  • Provide condition reports on pipeline infrastructure
  • Ability to determine resource and material requirements
  • General weed and grass control
  • Participate in the call out roster and attend emergency call outs as required
  • HR/HC drivers licence is desirable

     

About you

 

A trade qualification will be essential for this role, you will need to have a current Australian open manual drivers licence, have good time management skills, be self-motivated and organised, good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work unsupervised, and within a team environment, knowledge of safety issues relevant to trade and a strong commitment to safe working practices, sound computer and Microsoft skills. Willingness to ongoing travel across the basin
