With people and relationships being the centre of all that we do, join our team and be a part of something big. We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef to work in an Aged Care Facility in the Western Suburbs of Sydney on a full-time basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of all food services across the campus, including coordination of meal service, room service and grocery food orders for residents.
  • Provide high quality, financial management of food service operations aligning with the needs of the client and customer.
  • Collaborate with the client to develop food standard programs and attractive menus.
  • Maintain sanitary and safe operations in accordance with the legislation, including following HACCP guidelines to prevent food borne illnesses.
  • Establish effective communication with clients and customers to ensure success of the food service operation.
  • Engage in healthy relationships with the team, clients, customers and community.

Key skills:

  • Exceptional planning, organising and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team as well as autonomously when required
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure and within short deadlines
  • Demonstrated expert management and leadership qualities through previous management experience
  • Self-motivate and drive community engagement and inclusion
  • A good insight into the health, social or aged care service industries will be highly regarded.

Minimum criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery or similar
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management and building and maintaining successful relationships, especially in the management of complex relationships.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective HSE management and how it applies to the position
