ISS is currently seeking an experienced business leader that can demonstrate sound financial acumen and operational understanding to join us in the position of Operations Manager at Perth Airport, employed on a Full-Time basis.

The Role:

Reporting to the General Manager Aviation Security, the Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the ISS Aviation Security team at Perth Airport - ultimately responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of aviation security services that meet/exceed contractual/regulatory requirements.  You will have demonstrated experience in managing a diverse team across a large site. You will be a self-motivated individual who is able to work autonomously whilst being able to collaborate with different stakeholders to achieve required results. The role will promote and drive a work culture centred on the ISS core values of Honesty, Entrepreneurship, Responsibility and Our Quality and displays the effectively demonstrate the ISS Leadership Competencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate operational management team and staff to ensure contractual compliance, continual development and that measured targets are achieved in the day to day operation
  • Develop and motivate team members and increase employee engagement
  • Partner with our valued client, understand their strategy and ensure ISS adds value to and complements this strategy.
  • Ensure contractual compliance, through frequent review and development to ensure agreed Key Performance Indicators are being achieved
  • Ensure robust governance of contract and delivery of quality service outcomes through effective procedures, training, audit programs
  • Strong focus on cost leadership and labour control, proactively identifying efficiencies and new business opportunities
  • Maintain health, safety and environmental consideration in airport precinct operations
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with other airport organisations (Customs, AFP, airlines etc.)
  • Facilitate audit and inspection requirements to ensure regulatory compliance

Role Criteria:

  • 3 years operational management experience in a large scale operation - preferably in a security or aviation environment
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, or other relevant tertiary qualification
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead by example
  • Understanding of the aviation industry and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute operational plans in line with financial measures
  • Unrestricted current drivers licence and reliable transport
  • Professional presentation and customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
