An exciting opportunity exists for a Head Chef to join our dynamic and professional Resources Operations Team.  Reporting to the Village Manager, the primary objective of this role is to effectively oversee all food operations within our remote village camp.  The goal is to exceed customer expectations in regards to the food offering, whilst being in line with contractual agreements. 

 

You will be expected to provide leadership, coordinate and support staff in maintaining a customer focused, secure and safe working environment across the site. In this high performance environment you will achieve success by- consulting with stakeholders on a regular basis while tenaciously driving performance delivery.


As you will be in constant contact with senior executives and external representatives, you will display polished presentation and communication abilities. You will have extensive experience in large high volume kitchen environments and a thorough working knowledge of the resources sector.

 

Proven leadership skills are an essential requirement of the role as is a strong decision making capability.

 

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Management and leadership of the site kitchen team
  • Management of the entire catering operations in line with contractual obligation while ensuring client and customer satisfaction
  • Manage in line with budget - the food cost and expenses as per the onsite contract scope
  • Maintain food costs at budgeted levels by careful ordering, preparation, service and storage of food product utilising ISS supply and ordering programs
  • Develop a solid Employee Engagement plan to ensure a stable catering team in line with ISS people initiatives
  • Establish on-going On Job Training Programs within the department to meet Standards
  • Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all clients and guests

 

Pre-requisites:-

  • Trade Qualified
  • Excellent communicator
  • Sound Financial and stock control management skills
  • Computer literate
  • Motivated Self-Starter
