Reporting to the General Manager IFS – Melbourne Airport and National People Manager - Aviation & Transport and as part of the site leadership team, the Human Resources Manager role is responsible for partnering with the site leaders in driving and implementing the Human Resources function and initiatives across the ISS Melbourne and Launceston Airport Contracts. This role will provide efficient and effective innovations that will drive continual improvement from a People, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and regulatory compliance perspective.  This includes being involved in operational and strategic projects. This role is an advocate for the ISS Vision and is a key part of ISS achieving industry recognition of being ‘the world’s greatest service provider’.

  • Deliver customer service and relationship management
  • Regularly audit and report performance against agreed standards
  • Develop, implement and maintain an HSE audit schedule
  • Ensure regulatory compliance as required
  • Health, Safety and Environment

The Position:

  • Ability to drive a Customer Service ethos with a large team in a highly compliant environment
  • Proven ability to develop key stakeholder relations
  • Partner with the site leadership team in providing HR guidance, support and advice
  • Excellent understanding of Employee Relations including interpretation of Awards/Enterprise Agreements and performance/disciplinary management
  • Experience in delivering training and implementing Learning & Development strategies
  • Experience in driving employee engagement activities and the ability to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and enhance retention
  • Must be an enthusiastic & highly motivated individual with a passion for people
  • Exceptional organisation, planning and communication skills
  • Preferred experience within the Aviation Security industry

Minimum Criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years HR related experience within a large scale workforce
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR and/or Health, Safety and Quality
  • Strong leadership skills - proven ability to influence others to a considered course of action – effective communication.
  • Operational planning
  • Well-honed customer relationship skills
  • Management of a diverse workforce in a highly regulated environment preferable
  • Proven ability to deliver to plan.
  • Customer Service care, control or management experience
  • Organised - outcome and deadline oriented.
  • High personal integrity.
  • Ability to obtain and ASIC
